下顎關節嚢弛緩による他覺的耳嗚の1例

　耳鳴を大別して自覺的耳鳴と他覺耳鳴とに兩分することが出來る．前者に就ては未だ不明な點が寡くはないが，蝸牛殼神經の異常興奮に因つて音源なくして聽覺を發せるものとせられてゐる．後者は一名耳内騷鳴とも稱し，體内に生ずる音響を聽取する機能である．而して種々の體内雜音の中，他覺的耳鳴の原因としては血管性雜音・筋雜音・耳内異物・歐氏管内分泌物等があげられてゐるが，關接運動の雜音に起因する報告は未だ見當らない．余は最近兩側下顎關節嚢の弛緩に基く他覺的耳鳴患者の1例遭遇したので茲に概要を記録したいと思ふ．

The patient, a woman 38 yrars of age, develo-ped subjective symptoms of hearing extraneous noises following and incident which caused her to open her month to an excessive degree and relaxation of mandibular joint. The presnce of these symptoms created a nervous state, in which the patient continually repeated opening and closing movements of her jaw which in turn, further aggravated her symptoms of tunitus and the agony there of.

The cure of the condition was brought about by simply advisirg the patient to limit the ope-ning movements of her mouth.
