I．はじめに

　蝶形骨縁髄膜腫（meningiomas of the sphenoidal ri-dge），ことにその内側1／3に発生したいわゆるclinoi-dal typeのものは現在でも全摘出は極めて困難であり，これらの摘出に関してさまざまな工夫が試みられている^3,4,7,8）．京都大学脳神経外科学教室では1965年1月から1982年3月までに28例の蝶形骨縁髄膜腫を経験している．これらの28例について主として脳血管撮影所見，CTスキャン所見，手術成績について検討を加えたところ興味ある結果を得たので報告する．

The clinical features, neuroradiological findings,particularly angiographical and CT scan findings, andsurgical results of 28 cases of sphenoidal ridge menin-giomas were reviewed.

The age of the patients ranged from 28 to 79 years,with an average age of 49 years. Nineteen were infemales and nine in males, with a female-to-maleratio of 2:1. Among these 28 cases, eighteen caseswere clinoidal type (medial third),five cases alar type(middle third) and five cases pterion type (lateralthird).
