頭蓋外伸展を示す脳腫瘍の神経放射線学的検討

Neuroradiological Examinations of Extracranial Extension of Brain Tumors

I．はじめに

　脳腫瘍が頭蓋外へ連続性に伸展することは比較的稀であり，この伸展状況を正確に把握することは，CTスキャン出現以前には困難なことが多かった．このたび，京都大学脳神経外科において，CTスキャン導入以降に経験した頭蓋内原発腫瘍のうち，頭蓋外伸展を示した8症例について，CTスキャンを中心とした神経放射線学的検討を加えたので報告する．

Before the application of CT scan, the exact identi-fication of extracranial extension of brain tumors wasdifficult. In the present paper, neuroradiologicalfindings of eight brain tumors with extracranialextension were reviewed. These eight cases werecomposed of two sphenoidal meningiomas, one CPangle meningioma, one CP angle neurofibroma, twopituitary adenomas, and two jugular foramen chemo-dectomas. After the first application of CT scan onMay, 1976, 841 cases of primary intracranial tumorshave been experienced in our clinic. So the incidenceof brain tumors with extracranial extension was about 1%.
