　48歳，男性．主訴は無症候性肉眼的血尿．内視鏡検査で尿道狭窄と粘膜粗造を認めたため，尿道粘膜の経尿道的切除術を施行病理組織学的所見で悪性所見は認めず，コンゴーレッド染色によりアミロイドと診断．直腸は生検でアミロイド沈着を認めず，また免疫学的検索でも異常を認めなかったため，限局性尿道アミロイドーシスと診断した．術後血尿は消失し，術後約4年を経た現在，再発もなく良好に経過中である．

A 48-years-old man was admitted with a complaint of an asymptomatic gross hematuria. Cystourethros-copy revealed an urethral stricture and a ragged mucosa within the entire anterior urethra. Transurethral resection of the ragged mucosa at the strictured urethra was done. Histological examination of the excised specimen confirmed the typical features of amyloidosis with Congo red stain. Renal and liver function tests, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, serum and urine protein electrophoresis, and serum immunoelectrophoresis were all normal. There was no evidence of amyloidosis elsewhere in the genitourinary tract.
