緒言
睾丸回転症は思春期および1歳以下にピークのあることが知られているが，最近，欧米では1歳以下，なかでも新生児期の報告例が多くみられる。しかしながら，本邦においては新生児期の報告例は非常に少ない。最近，われわれは生後2日目にて発見された，新生児睾丸回転症の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。
A 2-day-old male with torsion of the testis presented with the right scrotal swelling and hyperemia since birth was reported. The right testis was removed under the diagnosis of extravaginal torsion. Histological examination demonstrated hemorrhagic infarction and necrosis in the most part of the removed testis. Orchiopexy of the contralateral testis was not performed.
Twenty-nine cases of neonatal torsion of the testis in Japanese literature were reviewed and discussed together with this case.
