副睾丸フィラリア症の1例

FILARIASIS OF THE EPIDIDYMIS: A CASE REPORT AND REVIEW OF LITERATURES

緒言

　フィラリア症は乳糜尿症，象皮病，睾丸水瘤などの多彩な症状を示し，泌尿器科領域においても多々報告がなされてきた。しかし，副睾丸のフィラリア症はその報告例が少なく，今回われわれはこれを経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 73-year-old man was referred to our clinic with a few-year history of pollakisuria. Physical examination revealed a hard nodule of the right epididymis and slight prostatic hypertrophy. At surgery, a yellow cyst approximately 3cm in diameter was noted to protrude from the head of the right epididymis.

Histology showed that hyaline-encapsulated microfilaria within the lymphatic vessel was stained with hematoxylin and eosin just adjacent to the cyst. After surgery, positive reaction up to ×2⁶ antibody titer was obtained by the latex aggregation test.
