心因性尿閉の2例

PSYCHOGENIC URINARY RETENTION: REPORT OF TWO CASES

緒言

　欧米では心因性尿閉の症例が比較的多く報告されているが，本邦での報告は少ない。われわれは最近，心因性尿閉と診断した2例を経験したので報告する。

Case 1 was a 26-year-old, shizophrenic man, who had the misconception that every case of diabetes mellitus would become urinary retention.

He actually became urinary retention, which was caused by the phobia about diabetes mellitus.

Case 2 was a 27-year-old woman, who in the 3rd month of pregnancy, complained the urinary retention. Psychoanalysis disclosed that she did not want her baby because she was utterly interested in her business, which, she thought, might be disturbed by her baby.

A few cases of this disorder have been reported in Japan. Reported cases were reviewed and the diagnosis and treatment were also discussed.
