緒言

　従来，膀胱破裂に対しては多くの場合手術的治療法が原則として行なわれている。しかしながら，1975年Richardsonら^1）が，1976年にはRo-bardsら^2）が留置カテーテルのみによる保存的治療法を報告している。今回，われわれは当院における過去10年間の膀胱破裂11例を集計し，彼らの保存的治療の適応をより一層明確にすべく検討を加えたので報告する。

During the last 10 years, we treated 11 patients with traumatic and non-traumatic bladder rupture. Surgical exploration with repair of the tear and drainage of the bladder and paravcsical space has been conventional therapy for traumatic rupture of the bladder. But recently we think open surgery is not necessarily required in all patients with bladder rupture. Three patients with an intraperitoneal rupture and 1 patient with an extraperitoneal rupture were successfully managed with urethral catheteris-ation only. Our rationale and specific criteria for this non-operative treatment were presented.
