　はじめに

　鈍的喉頭外傷は，鋭的外傷に比して外見上軽症にみえるため，的確な早期診断と治療を誤ると致命的になりかねない。

　今回われわれは，ダッシュボードでの前頸部打撲による喉頭血腫に対し緊急気管切開を行い，救命し得た鈍的喉頭外傷の1症例を経験したので報告する。

A 76-year-old female was bruised the anterior aspect of her neck by traffic accident, when she was sitting in the front seat of a car. She developedbleeding from the oral cavity, and she was sutured a laceration of her tongue, but she complicated with difficulty phonation. Flexible fiberscopy of the lar-ynx showed a slight edema of the right arythenoid and abnormal movement of the right vocal cord. She was admitted to hospital, then she was found to have laryngeal edema. After 3 hours, she manifested dyspnea.

Emergency tracheotomy was performed.
