  • Look Inside

The reactivation of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) usually occurs in the single or a couple of contigu-ous nerve roots or ganglia, unilaterally. Although in the reports from dermatology, it is known that reactivation of VZV can occur on the noncontiguous ganglia, bilaterally and simultaneously. A 66-year-old male presented with facial nerve paralysis on the left side associated with herpes zoster over the trunk on the contralateral side at the same time. This case is very rare and showing the possibility of reactivation of VZV on birateral and plural ganglia simultaneously.
