　はじめに

　われわれが現在までに手術を行った原発性上皮小体機能亢進症105例のうち，6例が癌であったが，そのなかで，右上腺の腺腫を摘出した12年後に右下腺に癌が発見された1症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Metachronous occurrence of parathyroid car-cinoma and adenoma was found in a 57-year-old female. A neck exploration revealed a chief cell adenoma of the right superior parathyroid gland. Re-exploration was performed 12 years later because of reccurrent hyperparathyroidism. At operation, the right inferior parathyroid gland was enlarged and removed. Pathological examination showed parathyroid carcinoma. Association of parathyroid carcinoma and other pathologic con-dition of the parathyroid gland is rare, but mostly occurrs in the patients with chronic renal failure or familial hyperparathyroidism.
