はじめに
鼻咽腔血管線維腫は思春期の男性に好発する比較的稀な疾患である。組織学的には良性腫瘍であるが，易出血性で，解剖学的に複雑な周囲組織に進展しやすいため，治療の困難性が指摘されている。今回は昭和60年より平成3年までの7年間に当科で治療した鼻咽腔血管線維腫3症例の臨床経過について，文献的考察を加えて報告する。
Three cases of juvenile nasopharyngeal angio-fibroma in a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old males are reported.
Careful inspection of the nasopharynx was the first step in diagnosing this disease, and endo-scopic examination was quite useful. Diagnosis was confirmed by local findings, selective angio-graphy, and CT. Selective angiography and CT were essential examinations from the standpoint of diagnosis and treatment.
The treatment of first choice is preoperative arterial embolization followed by surgery, except in cases of intracranial involvement.
