はじめに

　ニトログリセリン（glyceryl trinitrate）は狭心症治療薬として古くから使用されてきたが，最近静注用が開発されて以来，心筋梗塞，心不全の治療，低血圧麻酔，術中高血圧の制御など^1）にも広く応用されている。

　筆者らは局所麻酔下に行う鼻副鼻腔手術の際のコントロールの難しい高血圧に対し，ニトログリセリン静注薬（商品名：ミリスロール）を使用して，その血圧調節性に対する効果を検討したので報告する。

During paranasal surgery under local anesthesia, the effects of Nitroglycerin〔GTN〕on the cir-culatory system was investigated. GTN was ad-ministrated intravenously into 21 patients with high blood pressure during the operation. There were remarkable effects of GTN on reduction of high blood pressure in 18 of 21 cases, and the amount of bleeding was significantly less than that without medication. There was no unfavorable reactions of GTN in this investigation. Because of the satisfactory effects on the circulation, GTN is beneficial to controlling the bleeding and high blood pressure without augmentation of the car-diac load.
