はじめに

　頸部に認められる嚢胞性疾患のうち上皮小体嚢胞は比較的稀な疾患であり，特異的な症状に乏しいため診断がつきにくく，多くの症例で術後の病理組織標本検索によりはじめて診断が確定している。今回われわれは上皮小体嚢胞の1例を経験し穿刺吸引により術前に診断しえたので，本邦報告集計例の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 34-year-old female presented a painless mass in her neck. CT scan studies revealed a cystic lesion from the left lower pole of the thyroid extending to the upper mediastinum. Needle aspiration of the cyst revealed yellowish trans-parent serous fluid, in which parathyroid hormone and electrolytes were studied. The cyst was surgi-cally removed and parathyroid cells were found in the cyst wall. Parathyroid cysts are relatively rare in the neck and, mimic thyroid nodule. But the preoperative diagnosis may be confirmed by fluid aspiration examination.
