はじめに

　甲状舌管囊胞は甲状舌管の遺残に由来する先天性囊胞であり，甲状舌管の下降経路に沿って舌盲孔から甲状腺までの間のいずれの部位にも発生するとされている^1）。舌骨より下方の頸部正中に隆起する腫瘤としてみられることが多いが，喉頭内方へ発育する甲状舌管囊胞の報告は少ない。

　今回われわれは喉頭内方への発育を認め，摘出時に気管切開術を要した甲状舌管囊胞の1例を経験したので文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Thyroglossal duct cyst, arising from the remnants of the thyroglossal duct produced by the descent of the thyroid anlage, occurs anywhere between the cecal foramen of the tongue and the thyroid gland along the passage of the thyroglossal duct. It usually bulges out in the infrahyoid region, but rarely extends into the laryngopharynx. In this report, we described a case of thyroglossal duct cyst with inward growing tendency that required tracheostomy prior to the excision. No evidence of recurrence was observed during the 7-month follow-up period.
