外切開を要した歯ブラシによる咽頭腔外異物の1例

A case of foreign body（toothbrush）located in the retropharyngeal space

はじめに

　咽頭異物は耳鼻咽喉科領域では一般的な疾患だが，魚骨以外の異物が深頸部に刺入することは稀である。異物が管腔内に嵌頓した症例や管腔外に達した症例では頸部外切開での異物摘出が必要である。今回われわれは歯ブラシ全体が咽頭腔外に刺入した咽頭腔外異物症例を経験したので文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Although the otolaryngologist commonly deals with pharyngeal foreign bodies, the finding of a foreign body other than a fish bone penetrating in the deep neck is a rare occurrence. External incision of the neck is sometimes necessary when the foreign body is outside the lumen. Herein, we reported a case of toothbrush penetration to the retropharyngeal space. Neck exploration was undertaken under general anesthesia, and the toothbrush was removed. Computed tomography was considered efficient for making decisions or evaluating complications in cases of foreign-body penetration.
