Ⅰ．はじめに

　腺様歯原性腫瘍（adenomatoid odontogenic tumor：AOT）は，1907年Dreibladt^1）によってpseudo-adenoameloblastomaの名称で初めて記載され，以後エナメル上皮腫の亜型と考えられてきた。しかし，Philipsenら^2）が1969年AOTと命名し，エナメル上皮腫と異なる疾患概念であることを提唱し，その結果1971年WHO分類にAOTの名称で取り上げられた。未萌出の埋伏歯を含むことの多い，顎骨を中心に発生するまれな囊胞様腫瘍である。

　今回われわれは，典型的な臨床的特徴を示したAOTの2症例を経験したので，ここに若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Two cases of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor are reported. Both patients presented typical clinical symptoms,such as female predominance on gender distribution,age distribution within the teens,complaining of cheek swelling and x-ray examination that revealed a cyst-like tumor with unerupted permanent tooth often found at canine region of the maxilla. The treatment of choice is complete surgical removal and there were no evidence of recurrence in both cases. This is the 2nd report in Japanese literature of otolaryngology.
