Ⅰ　はじめに

　上咽頭奇形腫は非常に稀な腫瘍だが，出生後早期に呼吸困難や喘鳴をきたすことがあり，新生児呼吸困難の鑑別診断の一つとして念頭に入れるべき疾患である。今回，われわれは出生時よりチアノーゼがみられ，啼泣時に鼻腔から咽頭にかけた狭窄音を呈した上咽頭奇形腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

　Although nasopharyngeal teratoma is an extremely rare entity,it may cause respiratory distress in newborns and should be kept in mind as the differential diagnosis of dyspnea of newborn or infancy. A 17-day-old female was referred to our department with stridor and cyanosis. Endoscopic examination and computed tomography revealed a tumor with a diameter of about 2 cm,occupying the nasopharyngeal space. Pathological diagnosis of the biopsy specimen was teratoma. The tumor was completely extirpated via transoral approach. Final diagnosis of the surgical specimen was consistent with a mature teratoma containing two of three elements of germ layers. Postoperative course was uneventful without any complications,such as velopharyngeal inefficiency or postoperative bleeding. There was no evidence of recurrence 10 months after the surgery.
