Ⅰ．はじめに

　悪性神経鞘腫（malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor：MPNST）は末しょう神経のSchwann細胞由来の肉腫であり，再発や遠隔転移が多く，一般的に予後不良である。特に一次性に比べ，von Recklinghausen病（以下，vR病と略す）に伴う二次性のものは予後がきわめて不良な疾患である^1,2）。四肢や体幹部に多く発生し，頭頸部領域では比較的稀な疾患である^3）。今回われわれは鼻中隔に発生した悪性神経鞘腫の1症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor（MPNST）is neurogenic sarcomas derived from Schwann cells. They have an extremely poor prognosis due to frequent local recurrences and distant metastases. They usually occur in the limbs or trunk,and arise relatively rarely in the head and neck region. In this paper,we present a case of MPNST arising in the nasal septum. Hematogenous distant metastases are common with MPNST. The most common site is the lung,followed by liver and bone. Effective treatments will be required for distant metastases when they occur.
