鼻中隔より発生したエナメル上皮腫の1例

AMELOBLASTOMA OF THE NASAL SEPTUM

　I．はじめに

　エナメル上皮腫は，エナメル器に類似した特異な組織像を示す上皮性の腫瘍である。

　本腫瘍は，通常顎骨内特に下顎骨臼歯部，下顎枝に好発し，発育は緩徐であるが，骨破壊性に侵襲して，その多くは大小多数の嚢胞を形成して特有なX線像を呈する。

　組織学的には良性腫瘍と考えられているが，稀に悪性転化して，肺，リンパ節などに転移することがある。一方，臨床的には外科的に腫瘍のみを剔除した際に，しばしば再発をおこす。また本腫瘍は，稀れに異所的に発育することがあり，脳下垂体部，脛骨などに発育したエナメル上皮腫の報告もある。最近われわれは，エナメル上皮腫が鼻中隔部より発育したきわめて稀な症例を経験したので報告する。

A case of ameloblastoma of the nasal septum is reported.

　A man, aged 20, complained of a swelling of the nasal root, nasal obstruction and epistaxis from the left nostril.

　Examination showed a polyp-like tumor filling the upper part of the left nasal cavity. The tumor which appeared to have been arisen from the mucous membrane of the nasal septum was completely removed.

　Histopathological examination determined the diagnosis.

　No recurrence is seen 6 months after the operation.
