Ⅰ．はじめに

　舌癌T2は最大径が2cmを超えるが4cm以下の腫瘍と定義されている。そのため腫瘍が表層のみに存在するものから，深部浸潤するものまで多岐にわたる。また施設により治療方針も異なるのが現状である。今回，1993～1998年の間に当科で行った舌癌T2の治療結果について文献と比較して検討する。

　Between 1993 and 1998, 15 patients（12 males and 3 females）with T2 tongue squamous cell cancer were treated at our department. The average age was 58 years old. Four patients were diagnosed as the non-bulky tumor and 11 patients as the bulky tumor. Partial glossectomy was performed in patients with non-bulky tumor. In patients with bulky tumor, the radical surgery was performed after pre-operative concomitant chemoradiotherapy. In 23％ of patients, the secondary cervical nodal metastasis was detected. The 5-year diseasespecific survival by disease stage was 61.5％.
