I．はじめに

　Spindle cell carcinomaは上皮系由来の紡錘型細胞からなる悪性腫瘍で，肉腫様所見を呈する扁平上皮癌の亜型である。頭頸部領域では喉頭での報告例が多いが頻度は低く^1,2），上顎洞ではきわめて稀な腫瘍といえる^3）。今回われわれは左上顎洞に発生したspindle cell carcinomaを経験したので報告する。

　Spindle cell carcinoma is a rare tumor. We reported a case of 29-year-old female with spindle cell carcinoma, which was considered to be originated from the left maxillary sinus. She had complained of nasal bleeding. We underwent Denker's operation in the left maxillary sinus. The routine H-E staining showed spindle cell formation. Pathologocal diagnosis was confirmed with the following immunohistochemical stainings：vimentin（＋）, keratin（A/E 1/3）（＋）, S100 protein（－）, actin（－）, desmin（－）, EMA（±）. She was treated with partial maxillectomy followed by radiation therapy. Neither local recurrence nor distant metastasis has been found 18 months after the resection.
