I．はじめに

　囊胞状リンパ管腫は，頭頸部領域に出現することが多い良性の腫瘍性疾患であり，乳児期に増大傾向を示すことが多い^1,2）。腫瘍の大きさも様々であり，審美的にも患児とその家族の苦悩は極めて大きい^3）。治療はOK-432による硬化療法が一般的であるが^4～6），一方でその副作用が強調され外科的切除を第1選択とする記載も散見される^7～10）。

　今回われわれは，当科で経験した具体例を挙げ，OK-432による硬化療法の効果と副作用につき報告する。

　Cystic hygroma is a benign tumor seen in the neck of infants. Intraregional injection of OK-432 is common therapy for cystic hygroma. Some authors,however,recommend surgical therapy as one of first choice for cystic hygroma,considering side effects of OK-432 sclerotherapy. The most critical one is inflammatory swelling of the tumor,which sometimes leads to compression of the airway and respiratory disturbances. For estimation of airway narrowing and better airway management MRI and CT is useful. With proper and careful airway management OK-432 sclerotherapy is considered to be more useful and effective than surgical extraction for cystic hygroma in infants.
