　ベーチェット病に併発した白内障7例9眼に，超音波水晶体乳化吸引術と眼内レンズ挿入術を行った。術後6か月から25か月，平均14.3か月の経過を追跡した。術前の矯正視力は平均0.03±0.71，術後のそれは0.20±0.61であり，有意に改善した（p＜0.05）。術後6か月間の眼発作回数は平均0.44であり，術前の0.77と有意差がなかった。術前の消炎期間が6か月未満の4眼についても同様であった。術後の眼圧上昇が6眼にあったが，それ以外の合併症はなかった。ベーチェット病に併発した白内障には，超音波水晶体乳化吸引術と眼内レンズ挿入術を第一選択としてよいことと，白内障の状態によっては術前消炎期間が6か月未満であってもよいことを示す所見である。

We treated cataract in 9 eyes of 7 patients of Behçet disease by performing phacoemulsification-aspiration with intraocular lens implantation. The follow-up period ranged from 6 to 25 months, average 14.3 months. The preoperative and postoperative visual acuity averaged 0.03±0.71 and 0.20±0.61 respectively. The difference was significant (p＜0.05). The frequency of ocular attacks during 6 months before and after surgery averaged 0.77 and 0.44 respectively. There was no significant difference in the whole series and even in 4 eyes which had ocular attacks during 6 months before surgery. There have been no serious complications except transient rise in intraocular pressure in 6 eyes. The findings show that cataract in patients of Behçet disease can be treated by phacoemulsification-aspiration with intraocular lens implantation as the first choice regardless of ocular attacks during 6 months before surgery.
