（17P1−2）　飛来したボールにより片眼に視力障害が生じた12歳と10歳の男児が受診した。視力は，それぞれ0.03と0.3であった。全層性の黄斑円孔があった。円孔の辺縁は不整であり，円孔の蓋や下掘れfluid cuffはなかった。網脈絡膜萎縮が合併していた。後部硝子体剥離は全経過を通じてなかった。格別の治療なしに，受傷からそれぞれ4か月後と3か月後に黄斑円孔は消失した。視力は，それぞれ0.5とO.6に改善した。外傷性黄斑円孔が数か月後に自然閉鎖することを示す症例である。

Two boys, aged 12 and 10 years each, sought medical advice for unilateral visual blurring after being hit by a flying ball. The visual acuity was 0.03 and 0.3 each. As common features, the affected eyes showed full-thickness macular hole, the edge of macular hole was irregular and no operculum or fluid cuff was present. Chorioretinal atrophy was also present. There has been no posterior vitreous detachment throughout. The macular hole spontaneously disappeared 4 and 3 months later respectively. The visual acuity improved to 0.5 and 0.6 each. These cases illustrate that traumatic macular hole may undergo spontaneous closure several months after the trauma.
