　過去2年間に，増殖糖尿病網膜症に対して硝子体手術を行った283眼中に，硝子体円錐切除中に格子状変性に起因する弁状網膜裂孔を7眼（2.4％）に認めた。裂孔は格子状変性部の端または後極縁に沿って生じ，硝子体円錐を切除中に変性部に牽引が加わったために生じたと考えられた。増殖糖尿病網膜症への硝子体手術では，このような医原性裂孔との関係で，格子状変性に注意を払うことが必要である。

During vitreous surgery on 283 eyes of proliferative diabetic retinopathy during the foregoing 2 years, we detected flap retinal tear in 7 eyes (2.4% ) . The tear was located either at the lateral or posterior margin of lattice degeneration. It appeared that the tear was formed by traction to the area of lattice degeneration during cone vitrectomy. We advocate due precaution in diabetic vitrectomy on the possibility of this intraoperative complication.
