長期間にわたり薬物治療に抵抗した内因性眼内炎に対し硝子体手術を行い，その術中採取した硝子体液を培養し起因菌の同定を行った。同定した起因菌はカンジダとクラドスポリウムであり，2種類の真菌が培養された。カンジダをはじめとする単一起因菌による内因性眼内炎は数多く報告されているが，真菌の重複感染を証明した内因性眼内炎の報告は極めて稀なものと考えられる。
We performed vitorectomy for endophthalmitis that resisted medication, and we searched for its cause by culturing the vitreous fluid.
Both candida albicans and Cladosporium sp. appeared in the same medium. Thas we considered that there was a double mycotic infection.
