　眼内灌流液温度が白内障術後炎症に与える影響を調べるため，室温（20〜21℃），冷却（3〜4℃）の2種類の灌流液を無作為に使用し，術後炎症の指標として前房内細胞，前房内蛋白濃度をレーザーフレアセルメーターで測定し比較検討した。術前，術後に合併症のない群（室温27眼，冷却19眼），合併症を認めた群（室温7眼，冷却10眼）のいずれでも，術後1〜9日および14日，28日後の前房内細胞，前房蛋白濃度に室温，冷却による統計学的な有意差はなかった。白内障の術後炎症に関して，眼内灌流液を冷却しても，術後前房内炎症は軽減されなかった。

We evaluated the effect of temperature of irrigat-ing solution on the postoperative inflammation in 63 eyes which underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. Extracapsular cata-ract extraction was performed in 22 eyes and phacoemulsification in 41. We measured the aque-ous protein and cells up to 28 days after surgery. We used BSS-Plus as irrigating solution at 20°C in 34 eyes and 4°C in 29 eyes. Postoperative inflamma-tion was positive in 17 eyes and negative in 46 eyes. There was no difference in the rate of complication dependent on the temperature of irrigating solution.
