老人性円板状黄斑変性の他眼にみられた色覚障害

Impaired color vision in the unaffected fellow eye of senile disciform macular degeneration

　老人性円板状黄斑変性の他眼に後天性の色覚障害が発生しているかどうかを検討した。片眼が本症の他眼39眼（調査群）と，同年齢の31眼（対照群）を対象とした。標準色覚検査表第2部を用いた仮性同色表呈示装置（SPP2）を用いて行い，検査表の背景照度を変化させ，1,000,100,30ルックスの3つの条件下で行った。1,000ルックスでは，両群に差は見られなかったが，100ルックスと30ルックスでは，調査群は対照群よりも，有意に大きい誤答率を示した。本症の他眼には，Standard Pseudoiso—chromatic Plates Part 2を用いた色覚検査の照度を低下させると，後天性の色覚障害が発生していることが証明され，本症の他眼には既に本症発症以前から黄斑部の網膜色素上皮を中心とした障害が生じていることが示された。

We assessed the color perception in 39 unaffected fellow eyes of senile disciform macular degeneration, SDMD. We used a Standard Pseudoisochromatic Plate-2 in an automated display system. The plates were illuminated under 30, 100 and 1000 lux. Acquired color vision defect was detected when the illumination was set at 30 and 100 lux and not at 1000 lux. The findings prove that fellow eyes of SDMD show defective color vision as different from age-matched normal controls.
