　高屈折率スリーピースシリコーン眼内レンズを顕微鏡下の空中で三つに折って挿入した。この方法は筆者らが以前に発表した三つ折り挿入法を改良したもので，これまでは折り曲げ用と把持用の2本の鑷子と，折り曲げ用の平らな台の三つの器具で行っていた三つ折り操作を，この2本の鑷子だけでレンズを空中に把持したままで行った。手術顕微鏡を術野から移動させることなく三つ折りが可能となったため，折り曲げに要する時間が短縮された。

We modified the method of insertion of foldable three-piece silicone intraocular lens (IOL) with a high refractive index. The N-shaped folding was performed with two instruments of blunt lens holder and Fine folder without using the lens case as the folding stand. This method enabled the folding of IOL under the surgical microscope and contributed to shortening the duration of surgery.
