　ハンフリー自動視野計アーマリー中心スクリーニングプログラムの有用性を緑内障59眼と正常者28眼で検討した。感度は視野進行例（湖崎分類Ⅲa期以降）で100％，初期例で70％であった。特異性は82％であった。暗点が2個以下の場合には偽陽性と真の暗点とが混在しており，カスタムテストで再現性を確認した後の特異性は100％に上昇したが，初期緑内障の感度は53％に低下した。暗点が3個以上検出されていれば異常視野と判断してよいと思われた。暗点の数は病期の進行とともに増加しており，暗点10個以下は初期例，暗点30個以上は進行例と推測することができる。測定時間は正常者で5分，末期例でも11分で終了した。

We performed automated perimetry in 40 eyes with early glaucoma, 19 with advanced glaucoma and 28 normal eyes. We used Armaly central screening program in Humphrey automated perimeter. The sensitivity was 70% for early glaucoma and 100% for advanced glaucoma. The specificity was 82%. Five of 28 normal eyes showed 1 or 2 false spots. Addition of custom screening test for better reproducibility led to specificity of 100% and sensitivity of 53% in early glaucoma. Presence of more than 3 scotomas seemed to warrant actual visual field defects. The scotoma increased in number along with progression of glaucoma. Early glaucoma showed less than 10 scotomas and advanced glaucoma more than 30. The screening test required less than 5 minutes in normal eyes and 11 minutes in terminal glaucoma.
