　角膜新生血管に続発して生じた角膜脂肪変性8例8眼に，アルゴンレーザー光凝固による新生血管の凝固閉塞を行い，その効果について検討した。8例中5例で新生血管の閉塞が認められた。重篤な合併症はなかったが，沈着した脂肪の吸収はきわめて緩徐であり，この治療により観察期間中に視力向上した症例はなかった。本方法は簡便かつ安全で，角膜脂肪変性の進行を防止するうえで多くの場合有効と思われたが，視機能の予後を考えると，新生血管が生じ炎症が消退した後なるべく早い時期に施行すべきと考えられた。

Eight cases of lipid degeneration of the cornea secondary to neovascularization were treated with argon laser photocoagulation. The neovascular vessels were directly coagulated with the Abraham lens applied on the cornea. Obstruction of the vessels were achieved in five cases, and no signifi-cant complications were noted. However, resorp-tion of the lipid was very slow, and visual acuity was increased in none of the cases. The procedure is safe and can be performed easily. It may be valuable especially in cases with early phase of the lipid deposition.
