　薬物療法が無効または継続できなかった眼瞼痙攣の症例3例に対して，Ander-sonの報告したeyebrow-eyelid stripping procedure，あるいはこれに順じた手術療法を行い，満足すべき効果を得た．本法の長所は顔面神経麻痺などの副作用がないうえに，起因筋を処置するという解剖学的に合理的な手術であり，同一術野で眼瞼挙筋腱膜の離断を修復できること，他の眼瞼手術と同様に比較的簡単でしかも効果が確実なこと，手術量の決定が程度により変えられ，段階的手術も可能なことなどであり，今後の眼科領域における眼瞼痙攣の有望な方法であると考えた．

We treated three patients with blepharospasm using the eyebrow-eyelid stripping procedure reported by Anderson (1981). While previous drug therapy was a failure in these cases, satisfactory results were obtain-ed in all. The present technique was characterized by : absence of undesirable side effects as facial palsy, possibility of repair of detachment of aponeurosis of thepalpebral levator in the same surgical field, and simplicity of surgical procedure. As further merits of the method, the surgical effect was a lasting one and the amount of surgery could be dosaged according to the severity of the blepharospasm.
