　内角贅皮の手術術式は数多くみられるが，中でもMustardé法と内田法は比較的よく用いられ，すぐれた方法と思われる。

　今回，内角贅皮19症例中18例に対して行った術後成績から二つの術式の比較検討を試みた。両者は共に内角部の形成がすぐれており，一般によく目立つといわれている術後瘢痕も長期の経過では，それほど目立たず，双方に大差をみなかった。どちらの術式を選ぶかは，瞼裂縦幅が比較的よく開いている場合，Mustardé法で，狭い症例は内田法を用いる方がよいと考えている。

We consider that the Mustardé and the Uchida methods are better procedures than other methoda of cosmetic correction for epicanthus.

We applied these methods to correct epicanthusin 18 patients. Judging from the results, we came to the conclusion that the two methods are suitable procedures for the formation of medial lid fold. Though it is said that marked scars tend to result at the sutures of skin in the Mustardé method, the scars that remain after both methods are not con-spicuous after a certain follow-up period.
