白色瞳孔で進行性病変の場合，先ず，網膜芽細胞腫が疑われるが，生後19日目と2カ月の男児で，白色瞳孔が進行して両眼性となり，片眼はそれぞれ続発性緑内障を来たし，眼球摘出を行った。
組織学的所見より1例は第一次硝子体過形成遺残，もう1例は網膜異形成と診断できた。
両眼性白色瞳孔で続発性緑内障を来たす例は数少ないが，臨床所見や超音波検査より早期診断をして，眼球保護のための早期手術をすることが望ましいと考える。
A 19-day-old and a two-month-old male infants, presenting with progressive leukocoria involving the bilateral eyes, subsequently developed secondary glaucoma in the unilateral eye. Both patients under-went enucleation of the involved eye. Histological studies of specimens demonstrated persistent hyper-plastic primary vitreous in one and retinal dysplasia in the other patient.
Patients with progressive leukocoria are usually treated by enucleation of the involved eye for sus-pected retinoblastoma.
