黄斑部の螢光眼底撮影を行った瘢痕期未熟児網膜症の7例について検討し，次のことが明らかになった。
（1）7例全例で，無血管野であるべき中心窩域に毛細血管が存在しており，無血管野は不完全であった。
（2）7例はいずれも生下時の未熟度が強く，重症の未熟児網膜症を起こした症例であった。
（3）視力は1例を除き良好であった。
We evaluated the pattern of capillary network in the fovea in 7 children with cicatricial retinopathy of prematurity. All cases but one had been treated either with photocoagulation or cryocoagulation of the retina during the active stage of retinopathy. Fluorescein angiography was used in the evaluating the capillary structure. The patients were aged 2 to 6 years at the time of current evaluation.
In all the eyes of the 7 cases, the vascular pattern in the fovea differed from normal subjects. In 3 cases, there was no avascular fovea.
