　未熟児網膜症児の成長後の視機能評価の目的で中心視野を検討した。網膜症が2期以上（厚生省新分類）まで進んだ9歳以上の22例42眼で，Humphrey自動視野計中心30-2プログラムを用いて閾値測定を行った。瘢痕期1度では光凝固施行の有無にかかわらず，良好な視力，中心窩閾値が得られたが，2度弱度以上に進行した症例は，視力，中心窩閾値とも不良であった。また瘢痕期病変が進むほど中心30°以内の視野は障害された。光凝固治療は，中心視野障害からみても痕痕期2度に進行しない適切な時期に行うことが必要である。

We examined the central visual field in 42 eyes of cicatricial retinopathy of prematurity. The patients were aged 9 years or over. We used the central 30-2 program of visual field analyzer by Humphrey. The visual acuity and foveal threshold were normal in eyes with grade 1 retinopathy and poor in eyes with grade 2 or more advanced retinopathy. The degree of damage in the central visual field within 30 degrees was greater along with the grading of cicatricial changes. The findings show that timely photocoagulation is advocated to prevent progression of active retinopathy of prematurity to cicatricial one of grade 2 or further.
