緒言

　水晶体の形態異常である円錐水晶体の中，比較的多い後円錐水晶体に比して，前円錐水晶体の報告例は極めて少く，殊に我国では現在迄に僅か10例の記載があるに過ぎない。しかもその中の2例は，内容的に稍異るものを含んでいる有様である。

　しかるに広大眼科では昭和28年以来約4年間に，本症患者7例に遭遇し，その何れもが呉市内東部の広—仁方地区出身という注目すべき経験をもつたもので，これらについて報告する。

Seven cases of bilateral anterior lenticonus observed in Hiroshima University Hospital in 4 years. (Jun. 1953—Oct. 1957) were reported. All 7 patients were males, born in the Hi-ro-Nigata area (the population of 43.000) in the easten part of Kure city and had bilateral imvolvment.

Histories of the patients suggested that anterior lenticonus was acqired after the birth. Case 3 and 4 were brothers and the more patient with the same disease were expected to be found in their family. But there was no relation between other cases.
