　前円錐水晶体は1875年Websterが24歳男子の両眼に斜照に依り水晶体前極部が円錐状に前房中に突出しているのを認め，その状態が円錐角膜と類似しているのでこれを前円錐水晶体と称したのが嚆矢である。その後1880年Van der Laanの24歳男子例，1890年Nennemannの20歳女子例，1910年Jaworskiの32歳男子例，1922年Freyの43歳男子例1923年Riedlの36歳男子例と我が国最初の例である石津の2例（1例は22歳男子例で他は19歳女子例）がある。以後Weiss （1927年），Kienecker （1927年），Feigenbaum （1932年）の報告があり我が国に於ても石津のあとに1930年藤原の女子例，同年塚原の2例（1例は1歳男子例，他は17歳男子例），1936年出羽の17歳男子例，1940年美川の30歳男子例，1956年清水の2例，（33歳，30歳各々男子例で更に氏の私信によればその後4症例を数へている由）があり比較的まれな水晶体疾患である。

　私共は重篤な全身症状を呈し，内科にて入院加療中の一患者につき眼底検査を依頼され，偶然に該疾患を発見したのでこゝに報告する。

A patient is 28 years old Japanese male Cerebral hemorrhage and glomerulonephritis are found in family history.

The patient experienced a sudden visual disturbance when he was climbing a slope with a heavy load on the shoulder.

The patient was admitted in internal medicine department with the complaint of gener-alized fatigue and edema, gastrointestinal symptoms, albuminuria (2%), anemia (RBC 2.7 M, Hb 55%, WBC 6200), symptoms of brain and skin (dryness, rhagaden and pellagra-like erythem) were found. A typical lenticonus anterior in the eye and cataracta polaris ant-erior the equivalent site of the left eye werl observed.
