　抗ヒスタミン剤に対する従来の，眼科臨床面からの評価は，大方「一応は試みてもよい」といつた程度で，あまり高いものではなかつた。最近強力抗ヒスタミン剤（以下抗ヒ剤）も二三出ているが，Diphenylpyraline （以下DPP）はBenzhy-dryletherがPiperidin環と結合した新しい強力抗ヒ剤で，われわれはアレルギー性眼疾患にこれを試用し，相当の成績を得，就中，中心性脈絡網膜炎には予期以上の効果を認めることができたのでここに報告する。なお同症の域因に対する私見をも併せ述べてみたい。

The authors applied a new antihistaminic drug diphenylpyraline (1 methyl. piperdyl 1—4 benzhydrylether) to the various allergic eye diseases.

The results were as follows :

The diseases were improved in 35.1 % of 54 cases treated. Diphenylpyraline showed remar-kable effects paticularly on chorioretinitis centralis serosa, keratitis parenehymatosa, and endophthalmitis phaconaphylactica.

As to chorioretinitis centralis, there were many cases rapidly improving the visual acuity and shortend the whole stage to the complete healing though not always concurrent with the recovery of the retinal findings in the fundus.
