中心性脈絡網膜炎に対するビタミンEの効果

Effect of vitamin E on central chorioretinitis.

　ビタミンEには，毛細管の抵抗を改善して末梢血流の障害をなくし，静脈側のStasisを改善する特異作用があるところから，広く凍傷等に応用され良い結果をおさめている。また下垂体副腎系の機能を亢進させてコーチゾン様物質の生成に関与し，アレルギー反応を抑制し，硬化した結合織を軟化させる作用があるのでリウマチ様関節炎にも用いられている^1）。なお血糖降下作用も認められているため，上記の応用とあわせて糖尿病性網膜症の治療にも試用されているが詳しい報告は皆無である。

　私達はこれらの特異作用に注目して，糖尿病性網膜症と中心性脈絡網膜炎の治療に広く用いてきたが，今回は中心性脈絡網膜炎に対する効果について報告する。現在のところ，これらの疾患に対するビタミンEの効果についての詳細な報告は見あたらない。

Vitamin E is said to have an effect remov-ing the stasis of terminal vessels and also anti-allergic effects.

Central serous chorioretinitis was treated with vitamin E internaly 300mg daily in 32 cases. The improvement of visual acuity and visual field has been observed in 77% of all cases one month after.

The recovery to the normal visual acuity within one month after the administration was seen in 50%.The effect of vitamin E on central serous chorioretinitis is thought to be very encouraging.
