パニールチン（シスチン）の角膜疾患に及ぼす影響

The effects of paniltin (cystine) on corneal diseases

　シスチン（Cystine＝Dicysteine〔S．　CH₂CH（NH₂）・COOH〕₂）の治療方面への利用は既に広範囲に行われているが，眼科領域では，流行性角結膜炎及び眼瞼炎^1）に，その効果が報ぜられているにすぎない。外国ではシステイン（Cysteine＝SH．CH₂．CH （NH₂）・COOH）の3％軟膏を，結膜と角膜の熱外傷及び化学的外傷に用いて，上皮再生の促進を見た報告がある^2）。

　私は，創傷の回復過程に，シスチンの役割の大きいことに着目し，創傷回復過程に迅速性が特に要求される，無血管組織である角膜の疾患に対して，その効果を検討して見た。

The author reported the experience of systemic and local application of paniltin (cystine) on 16 cases ; ulcus serpeus corneaee…2 cases, ulcus catarrhale corneae…2 cases, keratitis herpetica…7 cases, Post-traumatic ulcus corneae…2 cases, keratitis parenchymatosa elue congenita…2 cases, and pannus trachomatosus…1 case.

Regeneration in the epithelium of cornea and disappearance of infiltration of cornea were remarkably observed in these cases.

The use of paniltin appeared likely to promote the progress for healing of ulcus, and beside the formation of scar was slight.
