　1911年Kennedyが報告して以来，脳腫瘍に起因する本症候群の記載は文献上に比較的多く見られるが，外傷に因るものは極めて稀れである。最近私共は外傷に起因したと思われる所謂Kenne-dy症候群の一例を経験したので其の概要を報告する。

Most of Foster-Kennedy's syndrom are generally caused from cerebral tumor, and very few of the syndrom from trauma have been reported. A man aged 55 with hypertension was bruised on the head in an accident by an auto-bye. Optic atrophy occured in his left eye, and then choked papillas arose in his right eye.

At the begining quadrant-hemianopsia was recognized in his left eye, but he lost the left eyesight 2 weeks later. Oculomotor disturbance of the left side and a huge central scotoma in his right eye were noticed 4 months later. The other cranial nerves were normal, and there was no abnormal reflex in him.
