緒言

　第1報^1）においては網膜静脈枝血栓症の病態，光凝固の網膜組織におよぼす影響，光凝固方法，治療成績，光凝固施行時期などについて報告したが，本報においては光凝固の奏効機序について報告したい。

　奏効機序については，すでに清水，Krill，福地，瀬戸川らによつて諸説が提唱されているが，著者らはこの度新しい機序をも推定するに至つたので，この新しい機序を提案するととも奏効機序一般について考察を行なつてみた。

Early fluorescein angiographic features in the cases of branch occlusion of the retinal vein treated with photocoagulation have been present-ed and the mechanism of the effectiveness of this therapy has been postulated.

The fluorescein angiographic features arc clas-sified into three types.

Type 1 shows periarterial leakage of the dye without prominent venous engorgement. Type 2 shows a prominent dye filling of the dilated and tortuous veins but no leakage of the dye. Type 3 shows both promient dye filling and leakage of the dilated and tortous veins.
