網膜剥離のXenon光凝固療法

Light Coagulation Treatment in Retinal Detachment

I．緒言

　Schwickerath M．によつて開発された光凝固術は最近20〜30年間における眼科学最大の業績といわれ，この新技術による多くの経験が発表されている。本法の代表的適応とされる網膜剥離の裂孔については実に多くの臨床実験が報告されている。しかしわが国における本法に関する経験はまだ豊富でない現況である。

　私共の教室においてはこのたびZeiss製光凝固装置を設備することができた。これを用いて網膜剥離を伴う，あるいは伴わない周辺部網膜裂孔，周辺部嚢胞状変性，黄斑部孔，黄斑部嚢胞等計44例に対し光凝固を行つてみる機会を得たので，以下にその成績を報告する。

Retinal tears with or without detachment and cystoid degenerations of the retina were treated with Xenon light coagulator of Zeiss. The results were summarized as follows :

(1) Eleven cases with retinal tears were treated merely by light coagulation without any other surgical treatment. Retinal tears were completely obliterated in 5 cases accom-panied with no retinal detachment. A perfect recovery was seen in 3 out of 6 cases accom-panied with retinal detachment outside of the tear area, an imperfect recovery in 2 cases and no recovery in a case.
