序

　老視年齢において眼精疲労の訴えの多いことはすでに前報にて報告した。これらの眼精疲労，あるいは近距離視の困難を訴えて来る者のうち，その初期症状ともいうべきものに，夜間照明の不十分な場所における視障害が最も大きい。そこで今回は，萩野・鈴村式自記眼精疲労計の簡易型の試作を行なつたので，本装置を使用してNight presbyopia夜間老視現象ともいうべき上記訴えがどのような機序で生ずるかについて，さらにこれらに対する薬物の効果について検討を試みた。

Tho authors have been introduced already the apparatus for the measurement of accommoda-tive contraction and relaxation times and the measurement of the near point with repetition (H. S autographic asthenopiameter) , and have discussed the significance for the clinical purpose. In the present report, the authors introduce the new simplified apparatus in order to satisfy the convenience in handling by the clinicians. And, the influence of the eye drop of which the dominant material is pilocarpine in low con-centration (ES-15) upon the night presbyopia was studied with this new apparatus.
