I．緒言

　Diamox acetazoleamide…（以下A．A．と略す）の眼圧下降機転に関しては従来より全身的，局所的に色々研究され，炭酸脱水酵素（以下CAと略す）阻害による房水産生の抑制であることは略，確定されながら，その作用機序に関しては尚不明の点が多い。

　茲で興味深い事実はA．A．の出現によつて臨床的に対緑内障治療中薬物療法が発展した事が逆に，房水産生に関してCAの阻害をめぐつての作用機序解明へのいとぐちになつた事である。

Single-cell analyses of carbonic anhydrase showed that ciliary body epithelium of the cat contained carbonic anhydrase twice of ciliarybody stroma.

Microanalyses of Na, K, and Cl in the newly sampled ciliary body fluid as freshly formed aqueous humour, and serum from carotic cir-culating artrial blood showed that Cl in the ciliay body fluid decreased its concentration, and Cl in the serum increased reciprocally following administration of acetazoleamide.
