Serological Studies on Toxoplasmosis (partlⅢ):The reliability of Toxoplasma Hemagglutination Test

I．緒言

　著者は先にトキソプラスマ赤血球凝集反応を臨床面に応用し，不顕性感染が濃厚に存在すること，及び眼トキソプラスマ（以下Tp）症としての網脈絡膜炎は多くの場合先天性の形で発病することを指摘した^1）2）。

　今回は特に赤血球凝集反応（以下HA）の問題点として，Sabin-Feldman色素試験（以下DT）との相関，抗原の特異性，判定に際しての疑陽性反応の点等主として本反応の信頼性についてふれたいと思う。

This paper advocates the toxoplasma hem-agglutination test as a diagnostic method and presents the following conclusions :

1. It was not difficult to make an accurate distinction between positive and negative reactions in the hemagglutination test.

2. The soluble fractions derived from the peritoneal fluid of normal mice gave no posi-tive reactions with anti-toxoplasmic sera in the hemagglutination test.

3. The hemagglutination test was simpler and less dangerous than the dye test.

4. As an unexpected finding there was poor correlation between the dye and hema-gglutination tests.
