  • Look Inside

Three cases of uroliathiasis following ace-tazolamide therapy are described. All the cases had been suffering from secondary gla-ucoma. Because of difficulty in controlling the ocular tension by surgery or local medi-cations, acetazolamide was administered at the dosis of 250 to 1,000 mg per day, for periods of one to three years. The patients were then beset with acute attacks of uret-eral colic, accompanied by hematuria in one of them. Urological examinations revealed the presence of ureteral calculi in two of the patients.
