ライトコアグレーションによる眼内温度の変化について

Ocular thermal effects produced by lightcoagulation

I．緒言

　ライトコアグレーターは現在広く臨床的に使用されている^1）。その進歩に伴つて応用範囲が拡大され，更に近年レーザーがライトコアグレーターの光源として注目されてから，この応用が研究されている^2）。

　ライトコアグレーションは一種の熱作用を利用するものであり，眼内の組織蛋白は高温により不可逆性凝固反応を起こすから，コアグレーション中またはその後の眼内温度の変化を調べることは，極めて重要なことである。

Intraocular temperature changes produced by light coagulation with a xenon and a laser lightcoagulator have been studied. The tem-perature changes are narrowly confined to the site of the coagulation. In neither instrument does widespread destructive thermal injury occur to the eye. The heat effects by the laser device are of extremely short duration. The possibility of thermal summation parti-cularly in the vitreous is demonstrated with the xenon arc device and suitable limitation in its use is suggested.
